Saranac Keep A Clear Mind (KACM) Program
The Champlain Valley Family Center is providing KACM with the help of D.A.R.E. officer Deputy Head. Keep A Clear Mind (KACM) is a research-based take-home drug prevention program for 5th grade to be completed by parents and their children. The program includes 5 weekly lessons followed by bi-weekly parent newsletters for a total of 13 weeks. Lessons are designed to help children better communicate with parents about substance abuse and develop specific skills to avoid the use of “gateway” drugs.
It will be held on Wednesdays until June 17 at Saranac Elementary and Thursdays until June 18 at Morrisonville Elementary.
