Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN)
BHSN will offer Adventure Based Learning, an after school program, at each school district.  They will work with school personnel and parents to identify students who could benefit from participation.  The program is comprised of carefully selected challenging activities, structured so as to encourage the student to take initiative, make decisions, and be accountable for the result.

Clinton County Community Services Board and Mental Health
The Clinton County Community Services Board will work with Safe Schools/Healthy Students schools in Clinton County to offer emotional wellness screenings.  Screenings will be offered to all elementary children using the Pediatric Screening Checklist (PSC).  Parents complete the checklist at home providing information about their child.  Parents are provided the results of the screening and, if needed, work with providers to plan individual services for their child.

Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN)
Behavioral Health Services North will work with Safe Schools/Healthy Students schools in Clinton County to provide comprehensive assessments and clinic services.  Clinicians and parents work together to plan services that best meet the needs of the child.  No services will be provided to the child without the written permission of the parent/guardian.

If the initial screening indicates a child may benefit from individual services, the on-site clinician and the parent will discuss the benefits of the child participating in a comprehensive assessment.  This assessment is completed by the clinician and can take place either on-site at the district or off-site to meet the family’s needs.  Results of this assessment are kept confidential and only shared if given permission by the parent.

Clinics are offered both on-site at the districts and off-site to promote social and emotional health among children and their families.  All clinic services are based on individual needs.  Clinicians and parents work together to plan services that best meet the needs of the child.
